We are thrilled to introduce Latisse, the first and only FDA-approved treatment to grow eyelashes longer, fuller, and darker! Get your Latisse treatment in The Woodlands today—brought to us by Allergan, the makers of Botox® Cosmetic.
What is Latisse?
Latisse is an innovative once-daily treatment applied to the base of the upper eyelashes with a sterile, single-use-per-eye disposable applicator. Latisse users can expect to experience longer, fuller, and darker eyelashes in as little as eight weeks, with full results in 16 weeks.
As with Botox® Cosmetic, Latisse was first used as a medical treatment. It wasn’t until after its use medically did Allergan discovered its cosmetic benefits. Latisse was first approved in 2001 as a medical product to treat Glaucoma. Through its medical use, one of the side effects was eyelash growth. The long-term safety of this product for medical use has been recognized by the medical community and is well-established based on long-term use and years of clinical trials.
Is Latisse Right for Me?
Latisse is ideal for people who are unsatisfied with their lashes’ thickness, length, and color and are tired of putting on false lashes. Patients who have previously undergone eyelid surgery can still use Latisse without any issues.
Pregnant women are not ideal candidates for Latisse. Additionally, patients taking heart medications or antibiotics, battling severe allergies or certain medical conditions, or suffering from upper eyelid infections should not use Latisse.
Your Latisse Consultation
When you come to Rivela Plastic Surgery to get a consultation for a Latisse prescription, you will need to provide your medical history. Use this consultation as an opportunity to learn more about Latisse, its proper use, and its potential side effects.
What Is Latisse Like?
You must apply Latisse on the upper eyelids’ lash line daily. It comes with sterile applicators, which should be used only once for each eye.
Before applying Latisse, remove your contact lenses and makeup first. Don’t put any on the eye or the lower eyelid, and carefully remove any excess fluid to avoid unwanted hair growth.
Latisse Results
You will notice more significant changes 16 weeks after you start applying Latisse. Remember that your lashes will go back to normal if you stop using this product.
Since Latisse is a non-surgical solution to lash loss and other cosmetic lash issues, it does not require any sort of recovery time or downtime. Common side effects of Latisse include itching, darkened eyelids, and iris, redness, and dryness.
How Much Does Latisse Cost?
The cost of Latisse varies. You can ask about its price during the consultation.
