What is Vollure? Improved Fillers – Improved Results

Rivela Plastic Surgery is pleased to offer Juvederm Vollure™ XC for laugh lines and marionette lines- the new Hyaluronic Gel filler in the Juvederm family.  With patented Vycross® technology, Vollure blends different molecule weights to achieve a particularly smooth result. Vycross cross-linking makes the fillers more malleable and easier to inject, further improving the outcome. Best of all the clinical study results of Vollure are 18 months and are based on optimal correction (longer than another filler of its kind).

Volume designed for

  • Moderate to severe lines in the mid-face such as:
  • Laugh Lines (Parentheses lines)
  • Marionette Lines
  • Horizontal Chin Lines
  • Parentheses lines are static lines that appear around your nose and mouth when your face is at rest. This happens over time as your skin loses some of the building blocks (hyaluronic acid and collagen) that give the skin its structure.

How is Vollure different from Voluma?

Vollure maintains correction and also allows easy movement in the treated area with a molecule weight mix specific to this area. Voluma is weighted a little heavier than Vollure and is not quite as elastic in nature. Volume replacement in the cheek is not subject to the same repeated movements in the mouth area, so a filler that’s a little stiffer, like Voluma, works best for cheek augmentation. Juvederm’s four formulas, Juvederm XC (lines and folds), Volbella (lips and lip lines), Vollure (mid-face moderate to severe lines), and Voluma (cheeks) all are designed to give you the best results in the areas they have been developed for. Ex: A patient with deflated cheeks, deep lines around the mouth, and loss of lip volume would likely use Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella.

Are there side effects of Vollure?

Any filler treatment can cause some initial swelling, redness, or slight bruising. To decrease your chance of bruising, do not drink alcohol the day before or the day of filler injections as it thins your blood and is known to increase bruising. Usually, any side effects subside in a matter of days.
