Anesthesia:  Local or light intravenous sedation if desired.

Location of operation:  At doctor’s office.

Length of surgery:  About 60 minutes.

Discomfort:  Minimal discomfort. Bruising or swelling may occur.

Bandages:  Bulky bandage from the initial surgery will be replaced by a lighter head dressing, similar to a head band.

Stitches:  Non-absorbable barbed sutures made of polypropylene are used, so they are not visible under fair or thin skin.

Work:  Patient can usually return to normal activities or work within a few days to one week.
